Apple cider vinegar helps keep bad cholesterol at bay, all the while increasing the good cholesterol. Cholesterol is a fatty substance found in the cells of our body. Apple cider vinegar not only benefits the insides of our body, but also our skin. It contains acetic, citric, and lactic acids that soften and exfoliate the skin. Because of its anti-bacterial properties, it has been shown to decrease breakouts and reduce acne scars. This also helps the skin look moisturized and leaving it looking healthy.

6. May help prevent acid reflux

Contrary to the belief that acid reflux is caused by too much acid in the stomach, it’s actually the opposite.  Having low levels of stomach acid may cause acid- which you may sometimes get from food, could flow back from the stomach to the esophagus. This can cause a sensation of irritation and mainly heartburn. By taking apple cider vinegar, you introduce more acid in your stomach at helps ease it of acid backflow.
