This is definitely one type of oil that you shouldn’t get too excited about, since not only does it cause acne when you eat it, it can also cause zits when you apply it on your skin. Generally, mixing and using oils derived from genetically modified crops on your skin is what often causes your breakouts. There are plenty of healthier and safer oils that work wonders on acne-prone skin, so ditch your standard kitchen oil and use those instead.
  1. Mineral Oil. It may not be as damaging as most of us made it out to be, but mineral oil can still seriously worsen breakouts on some people. Just like cocoa butter, mineral oil is also comedogenic, so it also comes with the risk of clogging your pores. However, it’s not that easy to avoid mineral oils as it is extremely common in almost all kinds of skincare formulation. The best thing that you can do to save your skin is to always check the labels of your beauty products.
